Curious by this biorythm thinggy, I decided to play a game with myself and do a little research. One site linked Marilyn Monroe's death on her biorhythm cycle. A check on her biorythm did show that, on the day she died, August 5 1962, she was a bit under the weather.

Well, a coincidence maybe... so i decided to check on Kurt Cobain. Indeed under the weather was an understatement when he shot himself on April 5 1994.

Next, i tested Dr. M. Remember when he broke down when he annouced his resignation at the Umno General assembly on June 23rd 2002? Check this out:

That's not all, Jimi Hendrix, Alice in Chains' Layne Staley and INXS' Michael Hutchence biorhythms also indicate that they were very,very vulnerable when they die, wether intentional or not.

Well, you could do other tests if you want, perhaps Mariah Carey's nervous breakdown, Britney Spears' accidental marriage and the list goes on....

Coincidence....? Maybe not....

Libidorythm

Im sure every one of us have experienced ups and downs in life. Sometimes because of things that happen around us, sometimes for no apparent reason. One day your are on top of the world, the next few days you are down and fucked up.

The answer could be in your biorythm where your physical, emotional, intellectual and intuitive aspect of your life go by on their own cycle.

I dont know. I have never done any thorough research on it. Perhaps the next time i feel fucked up, I should check on my bioryhtm cycle.

However, the people who discovered biorythm forgot one important aspect of one's life - the libido. Im sure once in a while, whether you realise or not, you feel extra horny on certain days... and "down" on certain days. I believe there is a libido cycle as well.

If this is true, imagine what you could do (besides planning that Big Hot Date!)... better family planning, married couples could rekindle that run-around-the-bush courting flame, authorities could monitor (and deter) sex offenders etc...

That makes sense right? Then again... maybe its the full moon.

Up in smoke

This post is an extended comment based on Aizuddin's post on the government's anti smoking campaign.

Personally, I support the government initiative and I think smoking in public places should be limited (not ban completely). I used to smoke cigarette but i quit. I do smoke cigars currently but thats because I enjoy the lingering taste of tobacco coupled with hints of wood and spiciness... sometimes peppery sometimes floral... hmmm...
Yes, threat is still there but i don't do it on a daily basis. Same thing goes with fat. If you eat Big Mac and Whopper every other day, you'll end up with a coronary disease by the time you're 35. If you go to McD every other week and skip the teh tarik and roti canai sessions, you might be able to catch a ride up to 70. Make sense right?

For spending RM 100 million on the campaign, the government should find ways to recover the money. How? Tax the smokers of course. Here are a few suggestions.
1) Increase the tax on cigarettes (In Australia a pack of ciggies cost AUD 8 - thats about RM24!)
2) Cigarette vendors should have license to sell cigarettes.
3) Restaurant should have smoking and non smoking sections. Of course those who choose to dine at the smoking section would have to pay smoking fees.
4) Legalize marijuana... and put a tax on it as well! (if you can make money out of it, why the hell not?)
5) Higher insurance premium for smokers. (insurance policies have all sort of fine print anyway)
6) Any other suggestions are welcomed.

With the extra income the government could reap from the smokers (and stoners too), perhaps they could lower the import tax and excise duties on cars?

Finally, I do symphatize with smokers who seemed to be the sitting duck against the onslaught of the anti smokers. What if we have anti fat campaign, would fat people be ostracized like the smokers too? I wonder....

FSS Shipment

I recieved my shipment from Famous Smoke today. It took about thirteen working days for the shipment to arrive. The postage stamp shows that the package was sent on January 23rd. A small marking on the box indicated KLIA release date stamp on Feb 3rd. I recieved the collection card on Feb 10. I guess if there were no public holidays in between, the shipment would have gotten into my hands earlier. When I got the box, the side was cut open. I guess the customs wanted to take a peek inside. Since all the cigars were in good condition and nothing was missing, I was not too worried about it.

I ordered the discontinued Avo No. 8 (5 1/2" x 40), the Puros Indios No. 4 and the Avo Puritos. The cigars will be featured at the 7th Cigar Meet. The Avo No. 8 will be selling at RM 30 while the Puros Indios No. 4 at RM 20 per stick.

The other side of the history

What if, what what we believe in after all these years are all wrong. What if the people who wrote history books skew the story to benefit certain quarters and demerit others.

When I was a kid, I was fascinated by the wild west... the gold rush, the cowboys and the indians. I read a few books and articles on Geronimo and Chief Sitting Bull and of course the most famous epic battle, the battle of little bighorn.

The articles depicted the story in favour of General Custer and his determination to fight to the very end, lifting him to be an american hero. Even the battle site was named Custer Battlefield and his epic end called Custer's Last Stand.

But recent research and discoveries uncovered that Custer's Last Stand was amyth. Custer in fact ignored orders to wait and attacked the Indian Village on his own. A price he had to pay with his own life and over 200 of his men.

Research showed that the 7th Cavalry was in no order. Most of the soldiers found had bullet wounds on their back, indicating that they were running for their live rather than defending themselves to the end. The massacre was over in about two hours.

Which brings me to these conclusions:
1. The Americans have a (long) history in skewing facts to favour themselves
2. What we read in history books are not neccessarily 100% true
3. Perhaps what we believe in all these years were not true...

Work

Work have been piling up lately. I had tenders thrown at me left right and centre. Well, it keeps me occupied, which is good. That means I don't have to lie around the office banging balls all day. Besides, the work put a notch up on my time utilization factor, which in turn allows me to achieve certain incentives the company have put aside.

On the other hand, Im having less time doing other stuff... less gaming... less socialising and of course, less blogging. Well I guess you win some and you loose some.

I have put up a few plans for me to achieve this year. Big plans. Perhaps we will see a change in roles and responsibilities.... a change of career perhaps? who knows...
Yes, I think it is about time i add a little spice and salt and pepper to the mundane, bland stuff I've been doing all this while. I guess it is time to move on after working for five years in the same company.
